Introduction:
When Tiong Barhu Market has reopened in 2006, it is no longer not a market that is stinky. It has changed. One thing that has not changed is the nice food out there. Things has just changed for the better. all the Tiong Bahru favourites, including chwee kuay, fried kway tow and roasted meats, are still keeping the masses happy. There are 83 hawker stalls on the second storey of the three-storey building. The first storey - wet market and retail stalls) and there are 1,440 seats. 3rd storey houses a roof-top car park which offers 120 lots. Don't know what to eat or which good food to attempt? Just look out for long queue!
What’s Good:
The food. There are so many choices there that one cant finish in a week!
The cleanliness - no longer wet and dirty and smelly.
Better facilities - Escalators, lifts and car park.
What’s not so Good:
Too much queue. Have to spend some time for good food.
Website:
http://www.petrolwatch.com.sg/priceguru.htm
Introduction:
Petrol watch is a website that talks about petrol prices, cars, police watch and much more. There are also forums and a classified corner for the members to interact with each other.
I am particularly looking at the site that i quoted (Price Guru) as it compares all the petrol in Singapore and their promotion. The Price Guru tells you how much and how you can save in each and every combination. This provides everything in a glance with all the tabulated information and results. Although it seems like they are just 0.x % or 1~2% apart, but i t really makes a great difference when u pump in large quantities. Thats a lot of savings.
What’s Good:
Information is gathered, analyzed and tabulated and all displayed in one page for the users to see.
Everything in one glance and is easy to know what is the what card at what petrol station (brand) gets the best offers There is even a conclusion made for every brand of petrol.
Great effort made as some of the information doesn't really appear on the petrol stations' official website.
What’s not so Good:
Most of the functions needs to log in as a member.

Website:
http://www.carnivore.com.sg
Introduction:
Carnivore is a Brazilian buffet restaurant that buffets on many types of meat. The meat are all roasted/grilled and served in swords, served hot from the kitchen and sliced right infront of you and according to your potion They have a small salad bar for you to get your free flow portions of vegetables. Drinks will be charged separately. Ranges from wine, mocktails, smoothies to soft drinks.

What’s Good:
The service is friendly and fast. The food are served hot from the grill and sliced right infront of you and according to your potion.
Great atmosphere is just different from any other restaurant. I think it is great for small gatherings.
The meat which is grilled/roasted are not dry and tough. They are nice and juicy. There were about 11 types of meat that night. Pork, fish, beef, chicken, sausages etc.
Most probably something you never try before – grilled/roasted pineapple. As usual they will slice for you. If you get the outer parts, they are dry and blackish and taste like dried preserved pineapple. The inner parts are sweet, juicy and warm.
What’s not so Good:
The staff did not follow the card provided which indicates to serve or not to serve the customer any more food. Maybe they are just too passionate in their job.
Seems like fish is expensive. It is served in small fillets and I only manage to catch them once and one.
Abit pricy but is worth if you don’t eat there very frequently.
The next 2 days I was with flu. Guess that the food is abit too heaty. My recommendation is that do remember to drink more water after the dinner.
Note: 2 Weekday dinner + 2 fruit smoothie = $98
Dear all
Thank you for visiting the 1st blog of my life. In this blog it will be focusing all my recommendations in different categories, from food, leisure to music etc. Reason being is that I believe in good things are meant to be shared. Whatever I recommend here is good, so I will not rate them (it is difficult). Though this blog will be based on my recommendations, I will not mention any of my personal things and even the names mentioned (if any) are pseudonym. So for those who know who I am, please mention me (if needed in the comments) with my pseudonym. I would also like to apologize for the minimal use of self taken photos as I feel that I do not take good photos. I will try to include some other photos taken from internet.
Best Regards
Casey
